Good News About
Jesus

Jesus Christ is Lord — God manifested in the flesh — crucified for sinners, risen in power, giving new life and sending His people into the world.

Who is Jesus?

The gospel begins with God. Jesus is the eternal Word who was with God and was God — and the Word became flesh. In Him the fullness of deity dwells bodily. He is Lord.

God manifested in the flesh

Jesus is not merely a teacher — He is God revealed, truly God and truly man.

Salvation in Him alone

No other name saves. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned.

“God is holy. We are not.”

Romans 3:23 · Romans 6:23

Why do we need saving?

Sin is not just “mistakes.” It is rebellion against God — bringing guilt, separation, and judgment. We cannot fix ourselves. But God has acted in love through Jesus.

Our guilt is real

We have broken God’s law in thought, word, and deed.

God’s love is real

The gospel is what God has done in Christ to reconcile sinners to Himself.

The Good News

Jesus lived the sinless life we have not lived, died the death we deserved, and rose again. Salvation is in Him — not our performance.

01

Our guilt is real

We have broken God’s law in thought, word, and deed.

02

He was buried

Real death. Real cost. Real payment.

03

He was raised

Proof Jesus is Lord and the sacrifice is accepted.

04

New life is given

God gives a new heart and renews the mind — His Word written within us.

Your response

The gospel calls for a real response: repent and believe. Turn from sin to Christ, trusting Him as Savior and bowing to Him as Lord.

Repent

Agree with God about sin. Turn from it. God grants repentance that leads to life.

Believe

Trust Christ — His finished work, not your effort. Whoever believes is not condemned.

A simple prayer

God hears the heart — not perfect wording. If you mean this, pray it:

“Jesus, I believe You are Lord. I turn from my sin and trust You. Thank You for dying and rising again. Forgive me and make me new. Give me a new heart, renew my mind by Your Word, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. I surrender my life to You. Amen.”

Receiving the Holy Spirit is God’s gift to believers.

Acts 2:38 · Ephesians 1:13

Receiving the Holy Spirit

When you hear the gospel and believe, you are sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. Scripture also calls believers to be continually filled as we walk in obedience.

Sealed when you believe

The Spirit is God’s mark of ownership and assurance — a gift to believers.

Filled as you walk

Ongoing dependence and obedience — submitting to God’s Word, prayer, and holiness.

The Great Commission

Jesus does not only save — He sends. Make disciples by proclaiming Christ, baptizing in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching obedience to everything Jesus commanded.

Ephesians 1:13–14 · Romans 8:9
